How did the pioneers live? What foods did they eat? What toys did they play with? How did they make and color their clothing? What work did they do around their cabins? We'll make corn husk people and dress them in naturally dyed clothing. We’ll sew, weave, carve soap, play pioneer games, and make a covered coach. Hitch up your wagon, it’s going to be a fun ride.

What creatures live deep under the sea? How are sharks and dolphins similar? Do jellyfish actually sting? We’ll “dive” into oceans, learning about the plants, animals and the saline waters that surround us. Sea weed isn’t the only plant we eat from the ocean! If you were a sea animal, where would you live? What do you look like? Get ready for some fun water table play too. We will have a whale of a time!

Get ready for a messy day of art. Let's go wild and splatter paint, creating a large-scale mural. Like to tie-dye...except for the mess? Come on down and create a funky bandana. Hammering chalk, blowing some crazy bubbles, and painting with our hands (and feet!) will be the fun of the day. Don't worry about clean up, we've got that covered, however, a change of clothes is recommended!
Embrace the mess and join us for a wild and wacky day of art. Mess with us!

We will spend the morning learning about bears and getting ready for our very own bear hunt. We will be marching on our quest based on the Children’s book, “We’re Going on Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen, with illustrations by Helen Oxenbury. Bringing the story to life, we will wade through the splishy splashy river and work our way through the oozy squelchy mud, run through the swishy-swishy grass and more. We will end with a not so scary bear in a cave....but what is he doing? We're not scared!
